Minors Traveling Alone
What about minors traveling alone?
Prior to booking a ticket for an unaccompanied minor, please contact the airline
(phone numbers) to confirm their specific policies. Most carriers allow minors to travel
alone but have special restrictions. Each airline has its own age guidelines. Most require unaccompanied minor services for
children ages 5-14, some even require it up to age 17. Additional fees for these services are charged and are payable upon
check-in. They vary between $20 - $60 each way. Most airlines have rules not allowing the unaccompanied minor to travel on
any "last flight of the day" connections to prevent the child from being stranded in an airport.
